"Forward Chandler Parsons is scheduled to undergo an MRI on his right shoulder Thursday after sitting out Wednesday's loss to the Thunder.
Parsons said he suffered a bone bruise while defending Toronto's DeMar DeRozan late in the first half Tuesday. The injury is not related to the torn labrum he suffered in his right shoulder last season in Miami.
"It's a bad bone bruise right now," said Parsons, the Rockets' second-leading scorer and rebounder and top perimeter defender. "It's just real sore and could have gotten worse by playing (Wednesday). It's bone. It's not any ligament or muscles."
Thunder stifle Lin, Harden
The Thunder trapped the ball out of Jeremy Lin's and James Harden's hands, especially in the first half, holding them to just one first-half field goal. Lin began finding seams in the defense to help set up the Rockets' big men inside, getting eight assists as Patrick Patterson had a career-high 27 points.
Harden scored 17 points, largely by making nine of 11 free throws, though the Thunder were careful not to take too much credit for his 3-of-16 shooting.
